For more than a quarter century, Aaron Chang
immortalized Paradise in its many forms through his prestigious
post as senior photographer for Surfing Magazine. He solidified
his place in the surf culture by capturing surfing champions, extraordinarily
colorful locals and breathtaking natural beauty. The images would
then carry him beyond Surfing Magazine into 120 other magazines
internationally to Aaron Chang Apparel, which brought a whole new
and unexpected audience to his artistry.
Aaron Chang’s latest work comes into the world via the launch
of a new beach-inspired sportswear line developed by and for fashion-conscious
people who demand looks incorporating flattering form, comfort and
style. Designed for a variety of female physiques, with comfort
and practicality built into the equasion, the new sportswear line
builds off of Aaron Chang’s success as a photographic artist
and fashion designer with a junior’s swimwear collection including
breathable skirts with flattering fits, lingerie-inspired slip dresses,
retro-chic halters and stretch denim separates. Vivid colors the
pieces share with Chang’s photos include blues, tangerines,
raspberries, pinks and yellow with bright accents.
Technological perfection in the sportswear line is as important

in every piece. All bathing suits are reversible, and the separates
range from sporty and demure surfer girl inspired cuts to sexy,

Burke dons Aaron Chang swimwear for several pages in her
upcoming 2005 calendar. Hawaii-bred Tia Carrere
regards Aaron Chang’s suits and t-shirts (many of which feature
her home state) as solid wardrobe staples. Nickolodeon’s Lisa
Foiles and Brenda Song are
avowed fans, and Chang’s spokespeople have proudly reported
they have found new converts during their recent outing at the Silver
