pick of the week
ed hardy shoes and watches

We’ve “Hardy” Had Our Fill!

When you’re a friend of The Book L.A. as Christian Audigier is, you’re a friend for life. Though most of the time, we do focus on bringing the hottest labels and products into the spotlight every week, once again, we find cause to pay tribute once again to the creative force who turned Von Dutch, Don Ed Hardy and, finally, his own name into household names.

Under Ed Hardy’s banner and signature style, he’s at it again with a fresh new group of watches, shoes (amply on display at Primary Action’s suites for the 2006 Emmys and 2007 Golden Globes at Liberace’s old bachelor pad) and belts.

At the Primary Action Golden Globes suite, celebrities such as Angela Basset, Lorraine Nicholson (Miss Golden Globe 2007) and Derek Luke (Antwone Fisher) were slipping into the snazzy sneakers and bad girl-chic pointy-toe pumps from Ed Hardy retailing between $70-$100. However, Christian wants all of those who have followed his career through the Book LA and his retail shops that there is more to him than meets the eye, and his appeal goes beyond “skin deep” (pun very much intended).

The Ed Hardy souliers include sneakers, pumps, ballet flats, espadrilles and loafers with the now famous tattoo designs that have been snapped up by the likes of Madonna, Tommy Lee and the cast of High School Musical. His self-titled shoes take op-art, pop-art and the spirit of Ed Hardy to the next level of upscale attitude.

But Audigier’s creativity doesn’t stop with tees and shoes. You will always have time for a Don Ed Hardy tattoo, thanks to the new Ed Hardy watch line and cinch up the total look with a completely rethought line of belts for men and women that are simply amazing.

Christian Audigier’s collections are available at his flagship stores on Melrose (near Fairfax) as well as Nordstroms, Sportie LA, and Cusp to name a few. Also, if the retail options are not prolific enough, you’ll have plenty of web sites to keep you busy with everything Christian Audigier: www.donedhardyshoes.com, www.edhardywatches.com and www.christianaudigiershoes.com,

PSDI USA the producers of Ed Hardy Shoes and Christian Audigier shoes will also be launching a new line, Elvis shoes, their first venture away from the partnership with Christian Audigier. See them at www.elvisshoes.com and www.psdiusa.net

Two lucky reader will receive the ultimate Christian Audigier “fan package,” with either a watch or a great pair of sneakers.

Winners will be randomly selected and notified January 29, 2007. US only. Rules
