While the WGA strike changed the face of 2008's Award Show season, it was interesting to note that the most interesting faces appearing at GBK's pre-Golden Globes event (benefiting the WGA, by the way) were the ones found on a small selection of Croton's 2008 model watches. By the time spokesman Steven Jay returned, he was rocking out a larger range of the timepieces at Distinctive Assets' Lounge commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Grammy Awards. As it turns out, when Croton watches land on celebrity arms, time really does fly!
Though Croton dates back to 1878 and is still family-owned, their brand of time clearly flew with the suite's VIP guests, who received either a smart chronograph or a fun daytime watch in red, pink or blue with a globe spelled out with Swarovski crystals.
Croton's watches boast the best in Swiss technology, design and quality. But according to rep Steven Jay, whose showmanship was as pleasant and open as the watch faces, the brand literally has something for everybody in every price range, and for every occasion-from trendy everyday models, to career-friendly classics to ornate special occasion, heirloom and investment pieces fashioned from gold and diamonds. And if you
like to keep time with a collection of watches, the web site (www.crotonwatch.com) also sells cases and watch winders to display and protect the timepieces. If you want to build a statement-making look around your watch, meanwhile, no problem there either, as the site now offers fine upmarket leather accessories as well.
However, what keeps Croton timely, of course, are the watches that have been ticking with discerning people since 1878.
This week, a lucky reader will put an Croton
watch onto his or her wrist!
Winners will be randomly selected and notified February 25, 2008.
