The Creator of The SAK Really Gets It!

A decade ago, a fun, quirky and crowd-pleasing line of crocheted bags dubbed “The SAK” swept the country with styles, colors and price points that appealed to every age and fashion sensibility. Fashioned from vibrant nylon strands in a variety of different ways, The SAK was the perfect go-to purse, especially with college and high school girls wanting the all purpose carryall and young career girls who wanted to enjoy a variety of earthy-sexy looks.

At the Distinctive Assets Lounge for the 2006 American Music Awards, Elliott Luca proved that he has become more sophisticated along with his original core audience with a fresh new line of leather bags and totes that ups the fashion ante with such couture styling as gold hardware, woven leather touches and laser-cut scallop trim. The price points, meanwhile, are still within reach ($99 to $400), making this generation of his bags ideal go-to bags for work and weekend, but with an added dimension of elegance. Better still, Mr. Luca is also as much in touch with world issues as he is with his fans. There is a 2007 spring collection of white bags where the lion’s share of the profits will go to (name of charity).

Celebrities who “carried on” Elliott Luca’s commitment of quality and value include (names of celebrities here)
